Most of my time spent on a rope is over beautiful countryside in Spain or Greece, but when Performance Communications contacted me about a project with JEEP on the iconic roof of the O2 Arena in London, I couldn’t resist. 

A portaledge suspended from an iconic O2 Arena spire overlooking Canary Wharf became the “Renegade Hotel”, a stunning vantage point 50m above the ground. The agency needed an experienced photographer who could confidently work alongside the O2 rope access technicians, and have the creative skills to get the money-shot for the launch of the campaign. 

Time was tight and conditions were variable, but the skillset of the entire team came together to produce a series of images which are truly one of a kind, and some of my proudest work.
